lavendar and basketI love to bee outside! 😉 When people hear that I do all the yard work they think I’m crazy,
but I love it. It’s very relaxing to me. No phones, no interruptions- truly peaceful. I get out there on my new front mount John Deere lawn mower, stick my earbuds in and sing at the top of my lungs for a couple of hours. It’s my therapy…and I love to get my hands in the dirt and really enjoy planting and taking care of my flower beds and natural species and wildflowers are some of my favorites. I share that in common with bees! (That and my free spiritedness!!) They say that bees are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat. Isn’t that crazy? That’s part of the reason I like planting the kinds of flowers and plants that bees love well, that and that they will keep your garden looking beautiful!!! Try alyssum, asters, echinacea, geranium, and poppies just to name a few… They are so natural and beautiful, and the bees will love them.

Attracting-Bees-to-Your-Garden-aI do love a honey sandwich… you might say it is one of my comfort foods. So I feel we all need to quit slapping on our beautiful black and yellow friends, start learning about them, how important they are to all of us and accept them as part of our love of the outdoors!
So till next time it’s
that girl Shannon saying
have a beautiful spring!
